Best three thousand dollars I've ever spent. Her name means "frog" in Hebrew, in reference to her appearance when the headlamps are burning.
Yeah, it's a chick car. But it's also incredibly fun to drive; this is the original 1990 model with the 1.6L and you have to keep it above 5K RPM to squeeze the horses from it. I will never have the patience or the money to buy a TR6; the Miata is the modern-day equivalent of the british roadster. Did I mention it gets 35 MPG? This is the one that started it all.
My Miata was second only to the Jag in "fun to drive". Unfortunately, I only had it for a few months before it was wrecked. Have fun!

I got it up to 115 today, a new personal best. At 5700 RPM I dare not stay there long or I will need a new valve job.
Interestingly, the top speed is higher with the convertible top up.

I had a 1974 MGB once, chrome bumpers, wire wheels with knock-offs, the curse of The Prince Of Darkness (Joseph Lucas)and a terminal case of structure rust. The only vehicle that has ever defeated me, but man, it was a sweet ride. The Miata is the exact same thing minus the appalling electrics and rust, nevermind what anyone else says!
